Get Your Air Conditioner Ready for Summer

Even though it is wintertime, spring and summer are right around the corner. It’s never too early to get ready for warmer weather and to make sure your air conditioner is ready to go when you need it.

An air conditioner that has been well taken care of can last, on average, for 14 years. When you make regular maintenance a priority for your air conditioner (and your entire HVAC system), you are giving your system the best chance of working properly and efficiently for many years to come.

Just like you get the oil changed in your car or you visit your doctor for an annual checkup, your air conditioner needs the same kind of care and attention from you, the homeowner. During an HVAC maintenance appointment, the technician will clean your air conditioner as well as inspect it for any issues that could lead to costly repairs or even replacements. Give your system the best chance of lasting longer and running more efficiently through this preventative HVAC maintenance. It also gives you peace of mind, knowing this maintenance has been taken care of and your system is good to go, not putting your family at risk for an emergency situation. And by making sure your air conditioner is running as efficiently as possible, you can lower your energy bill too.

A great way to ensure you don’t miss critical HVAC maintenance appointments is to purchase an annual maintenance plan. Not only does it protect the investment you’ve made in your HVAC system, but it makes HVAC maintenance convenient. You have enough going on in your busy life. The last thing you need to worry about is remembering to schedule an HVAC maintenance appointment.

With an HVAC maintenance plan, you have two maintenance visits each year, and Stiles will contact you to schedule these appointments, so it doesn’t slip your mind to call. The reason we recommend two visits per year is so your air conditioner is checked in the spring and your furnace is checked in the fall. Another perk to an HVAC maintenance plan is locking in at a fixed price for your budget and not having to worry about the price going up.

Stiles Heating & Cooling offers the following two maintenance plans:

  • Two Star plan: two annual HVAC maintenance visits, plus a 15 percent discount on all labor and materials for repairs.
  • Three Star plan: two annual HVAC maintenance visits, plus full coverage of your equipment, both labor and materials.

Please note: Repairs on equipment over 15 years old are billed at a normal rate minus a 50 percent discount, and our maintenance plans exclude major repairs (i.e., ductwork, compressors, heat exchangers, condensers and evaporator coils).

Through an HVAC maintenance plan, you also benefit from better control of your home’s comfort, stronger air circulation, access to the latest HVAC technology trends and information, professional advice on replacing your HVAC system’s components when needed and help with your questions on home performance and indoor air quality.

The best way to get ready for warmer weather is to make sure your air conditioner is good to go. Contact Stiles Heating & Cooling to schedule an HVAC maintenance appointment or to invest in an HVAC maintenance plan.
